I've said this before--but I don't think Romney's faith is a big deal.
Faith seems to be less important in the GOP this time around, which assumes, perhaps incorrectly, that faith was always important.
That is, Christian Conservatives have been important for the last few decades--but they have never succeeded in nominating one of their own (unless you count George W. Bush--but that places his evangelicalness ahead of more important factors).
