No difference. We could have gotten this Nancy Pelosi stimulus from President Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, or John Edwards. Nothing original about scare tactics and name calling.
It was a wonderful couple of weeks to imagine a new day. It was fun to believe in a post-partisan transformational leader for a fortnight.
I deserve all the clucking coming my way from my conservative friends.

Random thought - with all of the talk about choosing the Cabinet and top staff because they're "the best", why has Obama been so willing to leave the details of the stimulus bill to the decidedly UN-expert Congress? I'm sure that a high-level committee of economic experts could convince even the Pelosi gang that some of the measures in the stimulus are without merit. It would have to be VERY high-profile to do that - I'd say a committee that included all U.S. citizen Nobel laureates in Economics + all living former heads of Treasury and Fed should be enough of a Voice From the Mountaintop to wake up the deafest representatives.
